- scanned system found p0171 system lean. confirmed squealing noise coming from front of engine and hissing from pcv on valve cover. squeal caused by excessive crankcase vacuum sucking air past front crank seal. hissing at valve cover caused by bad pcv diaphragm in valve cover. checked and found pcv valve in intake manifold not visible through hose port likely missing also. needs valve cover and intake manifold strongly recommend crank seal
